Let’s talk DIY!
I love creating pieces that are both functional and personal. Over the years, I’ve tackled all kinds of small-space projects, and today I’m sharing 8 of my favorites—each one simple, budget-friendly, and perfect for any cozy home.
- Floating Wall Shelves – I added these in the living room to display photos and books without taking up precious floor space. Game changer.
- Pegboard Organizer – I put one in the kitchen and another in my craft area. Super versatile, super cute.
- Storage Bench Seat – Made with scrap wood and some love. It holds my off-season clothes and doubles as a reading nook.
- Macrame Curtain Divider – A soft way to separate space without feeling closed off. Plus, it adds texture.
- Wall-mounted Fold Desk – This folds right down from the wall when I need to work, and disappears when I don’t.
- Rustic Coffee Table – I made it using reclaimed wood. Not perfect, but perfectly mine.
- Chalkboard Wall – I use this for grocery lists, doodles, and little reminders to be grateful.
- Mini Herb Garden Wall – Fresh basil at arm’s reach? Yes please. Bonus: it smells amazing.
If you’re itching to personalize your space, start small. It doesn’t have to be fancy—it just has to feel like you.
